Uninstalling system apps on HTC Hero GSM

OK, My phone came with some Default Apps that i don't need. So here are the steps that I used to uninstall the System App.
NOTES: system must be rooted.
1. need to be root to remove System App using: su
2. mount the file block system of the phone OS: mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system 
3. go into the directory to see what applications are on the phone: cd /system/app
4. list apps available on the phone: ls
5. choose an application form the list to remove. For example, if i want to remove Stock app, here is the command that i will use:

    rm Stock.apk
    rm Stock.odex

How to Root my HTC Hero GSM

Rooting my phone will grand me super-user power (like in linux: su -s). That is quite easy
2. install the downloaded software, then run it.
3. the default OS system and firmware is select
4. choose root now, if already rooted, root again. It solve the SuperUser problem that I have previously. (error: SU request and black screen)

Installing New Housing for HTC Hero GSM

OK, i dropped my phone from the second floor. The screen cracked and the housing was damaged. So, i ordered the part to replace the damage parts on my phone.
Here are the steps need to disassemble the housing:
1. take off back cover and battery.
2. unscrew the 6 screws
2. Use the Pry tool to pry open the chasis.
4. unscrew the motherboard screw
5. remove the cables gentlely
6. push  open the digitalizer (screen). Make sure to push it hard enough because it is glue to the chassis front support frame.
7. pop back the new screen and the new housing.

Now follow the same step (reverse) to assemble the phone.
Viola!!!!!!!!!!! I got a new phone..

App Downloading Forever problem

Apps downloading forever and would finish.
Solution: cancel all download, restart Wifi, then try to re-download again. If this don't work, then restart the phone. Now, everything should be fine....

htc hero sync - does not recognized phone in sync

Description: phone is not recognized when plug in using htc sync
Solution: go to setting, application, click on PC.
NOTE: for me, i have to use open superuser permission before connecting the usb
